Russian Industry Week is a search for new integrated solutions to technological and engineering problems of the industry, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO Sergey Bednov said at the official opening ceremony of the Week. All three projects are high-tech and demonstrate the latest technologies in digitalisation.

The Head of EXPOCENTRE expressed his deep gratitude to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under whose auspices the exhibitions are held.

Russian Industry Week is held within the framework of the inter-sectoral platform NTI Expo (Research-Technology-Innovations Expo), which unites large-scale events with the state participation, focused on the implementation of national projects and priority tasks for the economy digitalisation.

One of them is Russian Industry Week, the supporting programme of which raises issues of the industry digitalisation.

The President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin said that we live in a period when any exhibition is an occasion. And holding three exhibitions at once within Russian Industry Week is a triple occasion. Today the basis, which can unite all three exhibitions, is innovations. It is the main thing in all three exhibitions, which attracts professionals' attention.

Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, read out a greeting from Minister Denis Manturov, who is positive that the implementation of such a major convention and exhibition event is timely in the light of challenges that domestic machine-building industry faces today.

The Technoforum 2020 product sectors reflect the full production cycle from research to pilot and mass manufacture of finished products. The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the NTI Expo inter-sectoral platform.

In turn, the Lesdrevmash 2020 exhibition features the best domestic and foreign samples of machinery and equipment, the latest technologies for logging, woodworking and furniture manufacturing. This year more than 100 exhibitors from Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain and China, including the largest companies, market leaders, as well as small and medium businesses, participate in the exhibition.

The industry professionals consider Lesdrevmash 2020 to be an event that marks the return of the domestic timber processing industry to active recovery from the pandemic restrictions.

Earlier the sector "Welding and related technologies" was presented at Metalloobrabotka and Technoforum exhibitions, Sergey Bednov reminded. Since this year EXPOCENTRE has decided to hold an independent Rusweld exhibition aimed at development of the welding industry.

About 50 companies, including manufacturers, suppliers of equipment and products of welding industry, exhibit their developments and interesting solutions. An important advantage of Rusweld is the demonstration of welding and cutting processes in action.

The Head of EXPOCENTRE expressed his gratitude to the National Agency for Welding Control (NAKS), as well as to Rusweld's strategic partner ESAB for their support in organising the exhibition.

Managing Director of ESAB in Russia and the CIS Dmitry Kuraksa thanked EXPOCENTRE for the opportunity of face-to-face communication at the exhibition. "We missed the live networking, so we were happy to accept the invitation to participate in the exhibition", - he said.

At the exhibition ESAB company has arranged a special demo truck, where welding materials and novelties of the company's equipment are shown. Experts of the company tell about welding technologies and features of different welding machines and materials, as well as give visitors the opportunity to see for themselves their qualities. In addition, with the support of ESAB a number of supporting events are held.

“This year was unusual and continues to be a test for all industries. We learned to quickly adapt to the circumstances and take on new challenges. And now we have decided to come to Rusweld 2020 with an ESAB demonstration truck instead of a stand”, Dmitry Kuraksa said.
