Nikolay Alyoshin, President of the National Agency of Welding Control, Member the Russian Academy of Sciences

“Today, we have Russian technologies that are not available in countries with strong positions in the welding market. For example, it is our patented laser welding with wire feed. At present nobody in the world has such technology. As for the additive technology market, which is worth more than eight billion dollars, the USA is in the lead in right now. But we also have something to show: we were the first to create a flying machine engine based entirely on additive technology. I would like to note that at the next exhibition we will show our foreign colleagues the new achievements of the Russian welding production and welding science at its best.”

Dmitry Kuraksa, Managing Director of ESAB in Russia and the CIS

“We are sincerely glad that now we have one more serious networking platform. Here all companies, which are engaged in welding technologies, production of welding materials and equipment, and digitization and robotization of welding processes, have an opportunity to discuss the most relevant issues, find the best solutions, and find new growth paths during various panels, workshops and other events.”

One of the most important topics at Rusweld 2020 was non-destructive testing of working properties and parameters of welded joints and products to detect defects. The Russian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics announced the rescheduling of the NDT Territory forum within Russian Industry Week. The society also arranged a group stand and held several events at Rusweld 2020.

ESAB arranged a special demo-track to present its welding materials and new equipment. The company’s specialists introduced welding technologies and features of different welding machines and materials, and offered visitors an opportunity to check their qualities themselves. Additionally, ESAB supported several supporting events.
