The organisers of the 14th International Conference on Composite Materials: Production, Application, Market Trends see the key aim of the event as the assistance in professional communication between Russian and foreign manufacturing, engineering, research and educational companies working in the composite industry and priority sectors of the economy of Russia and the world.

The event was held by the Union of Composites Manufacturers under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Head of the EXPOCENTRE Exhibition Operating Management Elena Guseva introduced a new event, Russian Industry Week, to the conference participants. According to her, despite the current pandemic and related restrictions, many enterprises need new sales markets and effective promotion tools. It means that trade shows are a necessary and effective way to revive the economy after Covid-19 and to increase a company’s status in the global market.

In October of 2020 EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds hosted the first Russian Industry Week. It brought together the Technoforum 2020 International Exhibition for Equipment and Technology for Materials Processing, the Rusweld 2020 International Exhibition for Welding and Cutting Equipment, Technologies and Materials, and the Lesdrevmash 2020 International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Technology for Logging, Woodworking and Furniture Industries. The week welcomed more than 250 exhibitors from 17 countries. They showcased interesting innovations and equipment in operation. There were also more than 30 events devoted to various relevant topics. One of the key events was the Forum on the Present and Future of Composites: Technologies of Production and Processing of High-Tech Polymers. It was organised by the Union of Composites Manufacturers in cooperation with EXPOCENTRE AO.

“The main idea of Russian Industry Week is a constant synergy between related target groups and companies of the industry. The edition of 2021 will add the NDT Territory and Reklama exhibitions to traditional Technoforum and Rusweld,” said Elena Guseva.

Elena Guseva awarded Executive Director of the Union of Composites Manufacturers Sergey Vetokhin with a diploma of EXPOCENTRE AO.
